Celebrating ambitious pioneers tackling our biggest challenges 

AUSTIN, Texas, May 9, 2022 — Ernst & Young LLP (EY US) today announced that Kevin Pearce, President and co-founder and Brian White, CEO, and co-founder of Goodside Health were named Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2022 Central South Award finalists. Entrepreneur Of The Year is one of the preeminent competitive business awards for entrepreneurs and leaders of high-growth companies who think big to succeed. 

Kevin Pearce and Brian White were selected by a panel of independent judges according to the following criteria – entrepreneurial spirit, purpose, growth, and impact – among other core contributions and attributes. 

“There is nothing more important than your children having access to care when and where they need it most,” said White. “We saw the need to reimagine pediatric care delivery to ensure every child could be served. We understood the most convenient way to support the greatest number of children and families was in our schools. We can now proudly say we serve 85 school districts and support a million eligible students across Texas and Florida.”

“The healthcare landscape is changing rapidly providing us an opportunity to tackle serious long-standing issues like health equity and lack of access to care. Schools are under more pressure than ever to support students beyond the classroom, often with limited resources,” said Pearce. “Thankfully, the social and emotional wellbeing of students has come to the forefront and is recognized as an essential component to healthy, prosperous students. SchoolMed by Goodside Health utilizes a Whole Child Approach to close the gaps in children’s healthcare and serve the most vulnerable among us.”

Regional award winners will be announced on June 23, 2022. The regional winners will then be considered by the National independent judging panel, and National awards will be presented in November at the Strategic Growth Forum®, one of the nation’s most prestigious gatherings of high-growth, market-leading companies. The Entrepreneur Of The Year National Overall Award winner will then move on to compete for the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year™ Award in June 2023.
