How do I register my student for SchoolMed?

Students need to be registered with the program to see a Goodside Health provider. Register your student anytime online by clicking here.

If you can’t register online, we provide paper consent forms. Ask your school nurse or school health room professional for a paper form. Once you complete it, return it to the school health room.

*Participating school districts may allow you to sign-up for SchoolMed during student registration.

SchoolMed works just like a primary care visit. The cost of a SchoolMed visit depends on your health insurance plans. You may be responsible for a copay, deductible, or coinsurance. Contact your health plan to learn more or send a question to our team at goodsidehealth.com/billing-inquiries/.

Yes! Goodside Cares provides help to families of students that meet certain requirements on a sliding scale. Some families may qualify for a no-cost visit. To learn more and apply for help through the Goodside Cares program, visit goodsidehealth.com/goodsidecares/.

No! SchoolMed provides care for students that feel sick at school whenever they feel sick. The school health room professional can initiate a visit with a Goodside Health provider any time during the school day. Students need to be registered before they can see a Goodside Health provider.

Yes! Parents/Guardians can join each visit from home, work, or anywhere. We will send you a secure link via SMS/text message so that you can stay updated on the health of your student.

If a Goodside Health provider determines your student needs to go home because they are sick, a parent/guardian will need to pick them up.

If a prescription is needed, you can pick it up at the local pharmacy on the way to pick up your student.

For any student that needs to go home, a school excuse note is provided to the appropriate school staff member for the student’s absence.

Yes! If a Goodside Health provider determines your student needs to go home because they are sick, you can request a doctor’s note to share with your employer.

Goodside Health providers can assess, diagnose, and provide a treatment plan for students from school. If your student needs additional care, the provider will make a referral to a doctor, specialist, or emergency room during the SchoolMed visit.

Any child enrolled with the participating school district is eligible to register for SchoolMed. If your child isn’t enrolled in the school district, they are not eligible for SchoolMed.
